Big risk if you ask me. Bringing Smuel into that kinda was a risky thing to do. During those times a Jew interacting with another person would be a death toll. When Bruno got Smuel beaten by Lt.Cutler he did nothing and lied. "I've never met this Jew." Says Bruno. They also challenge law by Smuel letting Bruno into the camp. A place were everything look horrible and people are gettting gassed every day.

Treaty of Versailles

Well it did save lots of lives but I do believe that it was a bit harsh. It did keep the Germans in place though. But too take away most of their rights. And to make them pay 33 bilion dolllars? Well I think they would have to do that anyways. They limited their army forces to very little. They were banned to have naval air, and their ships were kept to a extremely low number. To top it off they have to be watched for fifteen years. The Treaty was finally issued in the May of, 1919.

The Island

How do these texts explore similar themes?


Well in the book most of the words said involve the stranger that washed up on shore on The Island. The first thing they thought is that he was different. An outsider. The colors and the text go great with each other because the colors give you that gloomy dark feeling while the text tells you why the darkness. They put him in a goat pen and told him to stay there. Treated him like an animal.

Why do people make distinctions between "us" and "them".

"Us" as in the townspeople and "Them" as in the strange man who washed up on shore.

THIS I BELIEVE

This kid. This little kid, who chose out of the millions of things in the world the choose he chose a list. A long list of 100 things that he believe. Other kids brought candy or cotton balls, this kid chose a boring list. But this is what what got him the coverage which he has today! I just cant believe that this.... 6? Year old kid made a list with 100 things important to him. Well on the reading the only let him read 30 because I guess it would take him forever to read them all jugding by how long it took him to read 30 of him with 5 second pauses between each BELIEVE things. But thats not the point. The point is the kid, this mere child took his time to make the outrageous list and he said he spent three to six hours with his mum making this list for 100 day. Ya sorry I forgot to mention that in the begining.

Libraries Closing in UK?

In the UK the government has been closing the libraries. I really dont know the reason for this but I do know that it is wrong to close them. There are people that cant afford books or internet and seek the library for information. Free books and internet is what is holding the community up. It is what the people are learning from. From taking away these libraries they are taking away the knowledge from these people. There has been a mystery person who has been placing sculptures inside of libraries and no one has seen him/her coming in or out to place these masterpieces throughout the country. One has even appeard a book festival. No one knows who this peaceful protester is whoever he/she is they are very inspiring and I cant wait to see what this person does next. The sculptures are just so pretty and I just cannot believe how this person can make more to inspire more people.

Title "Quote"

I chose this quote because its very much true. Its basically saying live life hard, because you can only live it once. It just seemed to stretch out and grab me saying USE MEEEEEEE. I just thought it would inspire some people believe and do something interesting with their life.
