Lit Circle Partners

My partner was Rosee and I think we did pretty good as partners and I hope that we got a good grade. But when your working with a partner it benefits in many ways. #1, you won't have to do as much work. #2, you can talk together and find more ways on how to get a good grade and come up with better questions and passages. And last is #3. You can sit and reason about what happened in the book and tell each other what you think of the chapter. We had some challenges along the way. One of them was writing on the same document. Some times some stuff got deleted. The lines dissepeard, but in the end we were able to overcome these problems and find a solution. I understood a lot more and I know now that every reader has a different perspective of the story and you can find out a lot more about the story from other readers.

Lines of symmetry

I took a image of a drawing that Allison made. In this image the drawing has 4 lines of symmetry going from: strait down the center, diagonally through the corner and one straight through the side. The lines of symmetry intersect just about every corner in the picture shown.

Group Discussion

Well when I was in my lit Circle groups we had to discuss what happened in the chapter. But sadly for me I couldn't join because I forgot or didn't finish my lit circle. I did join in on some of the discussion and added a few comments about what some people had to say.

But when my group group and I started talking we all started to understand that almost everybody has a different view of the story. So I was able to learn about things that I didn't notice in the book. During the discussion I couldn't make very many connections because I didn't have my Lit Circle.

But we some of us did have the some comments and questions as other group members. Some of us predicted that he sooner or later that he will will be able to get shelter make a fire and find real food and get the heck out of there.

My Fovourite Camping Memory

Not so long ago my class and a couple other classes (Who were in 6B) went a a overnight trip to the mangroves. I thought it was going to be icky and disgusting, but when I got there it wasn't as bad as I thought! But when we got to the rooms they were pretty big. But the beds were very uncomfortable. But the activities were pretty fun but not the most fun I've ever had in the world. But my most favorite out of all them was the... Mangroves.

Well for starters we had to walk there, which was a bit of a pain for me because I forgot my water bottle on a bench! So I was thirsty the whole way till a friend offered me a drink.(not mentioning name). When we got there We had to put on some boots and gloves that they provided. Then a man led us behind a big sheet of metal. Then you take a right then you see a whole lot of mud. I was one of the first ones to get in the mud. But after awhile people were getting stuck in the mud and using each other a posts to hold onto. I was used a a post by multiple people. When we got a little farther out it the mud, there were about three or four people who already got stuck.

The first to fall over was Stepho. After I planted my mangrove I got out of the mud. (With a little effort). Then I noticed me and Shivank were the first people out of the mud. And I barely had any mud on me! An til the way back... You know the boots and gloves we were wearing? Well we had to carry them back covered in mud! On the way there I got mud all over myself. I held Ayakas boots for a while cause I wanting to be nice and give back her watch when she had a free hand.

When we got back form the trail we put our boots in a pile then we got hosed off by Mr. Sheflin. But this was the most fun part because I just enjoying having fun with my friends and having a nice laugh along the way! Thats a event the I might never forget. (Might).

A Moment of Courage

When I was about eight years old in Australia I used too play a sport by myself that I like too call "Wave Diving". It's a fun game really but it's dangerous. You find a good beach and then you find the biggest wave you can. When it's coming towards you dont run away because you WILL get toppled by the wave and it is not a good feeling. But for me its very scary when you see a seven or ten foot high wave coming at you.
But the real reason of my courage of this that one day  my family and I went too a beach to have fun and relax. When I saw the size of most of the waves there... my jaws dropped in amazement. I ran right into the ocean not caring how cold it was, next I jumped into the first wave that came my way. The water was cold on my face. And then I rubbed the water out of my eyes and then got ready for the next wave. But my eyes were widened when I saw the wave that was coming towards me. I was frozen because it was at least  nine feet high at first then when it got nearer it was at least eleven feet high.
I tried to move but I was too scared. But the wave was too close now. I didn't know what to do. Then it was like my body moved on my own. I dove smack dab right in the middle of the monster wave. But I didn't put enough strength too go all the way through the wave. It pushed me back and I landed on the sea floor. But I wasn't hurt at all... Maybe a little sore but nothing wrong with me. "I did it", "I took on the monster wave".

B.C Paintings

Well I bet your wandering why did the Homo Sapiens paint? How did they survive? Why do they do all these things? Well Im going to answer one of these questions. Why and what did they paint.

One of the paintings me and my partner Ayaka looked at was a painting called "Cave Painting of Shapes and handprints".  The painting has handprints and designs all over it. It looks as if there are Does running in a group around the painting. There are some odd looking shape, like one that is in the shape of a cat. Did they have pet cats then? They're handprints are all over the wall. There are big ones and small ones. Is this how they signed there artwork? Or did small children just paint for fun? A question to be answered. There're is also a big circle with more circles inside of it getting smaller. It seems to be taking the shape of a target. Well this is enough for the first painting so I will talk about a second now.

This one isn't really a painting. It's more of a sculptures if you ask me. This one is called Clay sculptures. Scientists found small foot prints in front of the clay sculptures and assumed that they took place in rituals. They other thing is the carving is of a bison. And it seemed that the lower bison was more detailed on the one above it.

What scientist would I want too be?

Me? I'd like too be a Historian. Why you ask? Because I enjoy reading and learning other languages. But scrolls interest me the most. Now here's three reason why I would want to be a historian. One? I enjoy reading and studying other languages. Two. When I'm board I just take a book and read. So I'd enjoy reading ancient scrolls and symbols when I have the time. And three... I'd have a great time uncovering secrets of the ancient world and deciphering codes and other objects. Thanks for listening!
